I had to go to into the city for a few errands + decided to bring my cameras with me. I love photo shoots on cloudy days and it had been a while since I stepped away from the nature trails. You can take the girl out of nature but... I still managed to find some wild life among the city. I also captured my first horse photo!!! Who would of thought it would of been in the middle of downtown Providence, cops riding Clydesdales. Outside the animal world, I love photographing architecture so over all I was very happy my errands turned into a mini photo session.
I was getting ready to go out and take some pictures. Even though I have a long list of local sites + an app of many trails, for some reason I was having a really hard time choosing. All of sudden it sounded like it was raining outside but it was still sunny. Turns out there was a bird migration making a pit stop in our backyard. The rain was the sound of them pooping (I got hit twice).
Gross... but once I figured out a way to hide + still take photos, I was really grateful I was home for this opportunity. Sometimes the birds would take off and I would watch them all move in unison. It was incredible. I got some photos but I also tried to sit back and cherish the moment. As for the poop, it only hit my sweatshirt and came out no problem. Thanks for the extra luck birds + safe travels! Back outside, waiting for a blue jay. They have been around A LOT lately. Sure enough a couple stopped by and I got the closest I've ever come to capturing him in flight. It's more of a take off shot but I'm still happy with it. Immediately after the blue jay, the cardinal appeared. I caught one shot of him mid-hop. Something I never knew they did?!
